Entry: Job Hunting. . . . Tuesday, May 03, 2005

Why do people hunt for jobs? . . . because they want to earn a living, because they want to help their family, because they want this and this and this and this. . . .so many reasons. For me, I want to help my family, my mother I mean.

But what jobs do people really hunt specifically? Do they hunt jobs that they really wanted? I mean their passion, their drive, their interest. Or do they hunt whatever jobs that will make them earn a living?. . . .I know this both situation happens but the latter is most frequent. Do you agree? (*thinking*) But for me I want to land a job where there is my passion, my drive, my interest, and that is in an IT firm. You know I’ve already lost two job employments because of this reason. I just want to be fair with them. I don’t want to come in a situation that I will leave them just because I’ve already got a job which I really wanted from the start.

You know I just wanted to feel what Michael Jordan felt when he was playing in NBA.

I have come across on his interview, and the reporter asked about his job in NBA or shall I say his retirement. I can’t remember the exact question, but I remember his answer. He said (straight forward) “I’ve never worked. I’ve just enjoy my life in the past – years” I forgot the year ^_^. You know that statement is really meaningful. It reflects Michael Jordan’s passion on what he was doing.

Come to think of if, a person that has a job and his passion is in it and his drive and interest are in it, will never feel that he is working. . . . this is exactly what I’m hunting for.
